How to create your own relaxation and beauty spa at home

The centers that offer spa services to relax and enhance our natural beauty are in fashion. However, its high price makes it difficult for us to access them regularly. In this article, we share the secrets to create your own relaxation and beauty spa at home, economically, simply and naturally.

What do we need in our spa?

To prepare our home spa we must have a bathroom with a bathtub. We will need the following ingredients for our relaxation and beauty routine:

  • Essential oils
  • Foaming liquid soap
  • Food colorings
  • Magnesium sulfate

  • Candles
  • Relaxing music

We will turn off the light and use candles or small lamps, such as salt from the Himalayas, which have a warm and cozy orange light.

It is important to know a little about the properties of essential oils to choose the ones that are most suitable for us.

Relaxants: Lavender, basil, chamomile.

Stimulants and aphrodisiacs: Cinnamon, ylang-ylang, bergamot.

Antidepressants: Lemon, orange, bergamot, tangerine, grapefruit.

Rejuvenating: Lavender, geranium, pink.

Sensual: Rosa, jasmine, ylang-ylang.

While we are in the bathtub, the hot water will open the pores of our skin and allow us to clean it and provide nutrients more easily. Therefore, it is the ideal time to exfoliate and hydrate it.

We can achieve these two objectives at the same time with a natural exfoliant based on sea salt and coconut oil.

For the body, we will use coarse sea salt, while for the face we will choose the fine one.
